The German-Russian Law Institute (DRJI), the German-Russian Lawyers Association e.V. (DRJV) and the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK) are awarding the
German-Russian Lawyers Award 2014
to be awarded. The prize is awarded for outstanding comparative law work in the German-Russian field. Russia and the German-speaking countries are closely connected historically, culturally, economically, politically and also legally. The prize is intended to honour the legal exchange between Russia and Germany/Austria/Switzerland and, above all, to encourage young lawyers to deal with this topic academically. One German-language and one Russian-language paper will be honoured. The prize money is 2,000 euros each and the selection will be made by a jury of experts. The prize will be awarded at a festive event in Russia in autumn 2014.
Academic papers of all kinds (doctorates, monographs, master’s and bachelor’s theses, dissertations, essays, etc.) that were written or published in 2012, 2013 or 2014 and deal with any comparative law topics between the German-speaking countries and Russia and are written in German or Russian may be submitted.
