DRJV Invitation to the Conference “Current Issues on Russian Intellectual Property Law

17.04.2013

followed by the DRJV members' meeting from 18.00 hrs.

The German-Russian Lawyers Association e.V. is organising a conference on Wednesday, 17.04.2013 from 14.00 to approx. 17.30 (followed by the DRJV members’ meeting from 18.00) at the Foundation for World Science / Guest House of the University of Hamburg, Rothenbaumchaussee 34, 20148 Hamburg, conference room, on the topic:

Current Issues in Russian Intellectual Property Law.

Russia is our most important economic partner in Eastern Europe; foreign trade reached a new record high in 2012. However, Russian intellectual property law does not enjoy a good reputation. In particular, the enforcement of investors’ rights has sometimes caused problems in the past.
The Russian government has responded to this. In 2008, the new fourth part of the Civil Code came into force. In 2013, a special court for industrial property protection will begin work. Further adjustments are associated with accession to the WTO.

For German companies, many questions on industrial property protection already arise before the engagement. High-ranking experts from both countries will shed light on current issues from a theoretical and practical perspective during the conference and will be available for discussion.

The event is recognised as a further training event for intellectual property law within the meaning of § 15 FAO (for 3 hours).

A conference fee will be charged for participation. It amounts to € 25.00 for DRJV members and € 125.00 for guests. A reduction is possible for students on application.

Registration (by email: info@drjv.org, by fax: 040 / 38 999 333 or online at www.drjv.org) is required for all participants.
