(www.drjv.org) want to network and give members of both associations space and time to get to know each other and exchange ideas. The event will be introduced with a lecture on the topic:

“The work of Amnesty International in Russia”.

Experiences of past activities and outlook for the future

Speaker: Peter Franck, Russia expert and spokesperson of the
Coordination Group on the Russian Federation.

Even as a schoolboy, Mr Peter Franck had the desire to get involved in human rights. Amnesty offered him the opportunity to contribute both to the protection of individuals and to the improvement of the human rights situation as a whole. After the ‘Wende’, direct cooperation with Russian human rights groups became possible. This created a further impetus for his work.

Moderation: Peter Jonach, Board of the German-Russian Lawyers Association e.V.
